The master of the controversial ship Arctic Sea has secretly communicated with its manager... During “several exchanges” of text, or SMS messages between the master and a Solchart representative in recent days, the former said Russian military personnel onboard had refused the crew permission to go ashore for medical assistance.

Victor Matveev, chief executive of Finnish manager Solchart, said: “Russia has stolen the ship from us and stolen the cargo from the timber industry.  And now they are towing it again to nowhere.”  Matveev said he has asked the RIC why they continue to occupy the ship and described their response as laughable: “They told me they are there to secure the ship again from further hijackings from Spain and Africa.  I told them we have seven other ships; would you like to secure them as well?” he mocked.

Как раз сегодня на морском форуме говорили, что у моряков обычно по несколько разных мобильников (наверное, где один не имеет сигнала, другой может иметь).  Вот, наверно, они и сумели припрятать кое-что.

Проверяли - нет. Но какое-то из этих суден (кажется, Arctic Star) проходил одновременно с Арктик Си Ла-Манш.

Интересно, флот Solchart составляет 6 судов. О каких еще двух кораблях говорит Матвеев?
