A:
I tell my criminal justice students that if a police officer ever reads me Miranda warnings, the first four words out of my mouth will be, "I want a lawyer."
B:
I hope they don't wait until they're Mirandized for that. Cops try to stall on that as long as possible, by engaging in non-custodial interrogations. As soon as one is being asked questions (other than, e.g., as a bystander who witnessed an accident), the first question is "Am I free to go?" The next statement is, "I'll talk to you with my lawyer."
Я по-прежнему не знаю, обязана ли я отвечать на вопросы имя - фамилия - адрес. Я встречала разные мнения юристов (не то, чтобы я очень копалась, просто - интересно).
