Citing a poll taken after the election by Frank Luntz, a Republican pollster, Mr. Weber said that people who listened to 10 hours or more a week of talk radio voted Republican by a 3-to-1 margin. "Those are the people who elected the new Congress," he said.

Упомянутый Vin Weber попал недавно под расследование за работу с Манафортом на Януковича в Украине, но отделался легким испугом, уволившись из своей лоббистской компании.

Да, "контракт с Америкой" Гингрича в корне изменил тон политических дискуссий. Республиканская риторика стала напоминать разоблачающую риторику советских газет. Тот же Гингрич всегда был "на взводе". А через два года появился канал "Фокс ньюс", где несколько блондинок кричали друг на друга. Я попадала на них, когда кликала по каналам, и быстренько старалась убраться он их истерических воплей.

Всегда считал, что в выражении "to hang in limbo" предлог "in" -- лишний.
